New Zealand team's fast bowler Shane Bond will be playing in this IPL which will be starting on 12th March. New Zealand Cricket Players Association manager Heath Mills said that Shane Bond will be available in the upcoming Indian Premiere League season 3.Al Qaeda had threatened to target the players during this IPL season, but Shane Bond, Brendon McCullum, Daniel Vettori & Jacob Oram (if he is fit) are now more likely to participate in the IPL than when terror warning was first given. He also said that they are very confident now when compared to two weeks back. He also talked about the security strategies around the 12 venues & the host cities has shown improvement in recent days & feels that they would improve in the lade-up to the tournament.
