South Africa played West Indies their 2nd ODI of the tour to WI at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, St Peter's, Antigua. South Africa won the toss & elected to bat first.
Graeme Smith & Hashim Amla both played well & built up their 1st wicket partnership of 89 runs which helped South Africa to go on the positive track. 2nd Wicket partnership between Hashim Amla & Jacques Kallis was also too good. Hashim Amla got out scoring 92 runs in 95 deliveries, SA at this point of time lost their 2nd wicket. Further Kallis partnered with AB de Villiers to build another useful partnership. After the fall of Villiers & Kallis, there were no big partnerships as the overs were very less. South Africa had scored 300 runs in 50 overs loosing 5 wickets. Jacques Kallis was the 2nd top scorer for the team scoring 85 runs from 89 deliveries. Kieron Pollard was an impressive bowler from WI, as his economy rate was just 4.87 runs per over & had took 2 dangerous wickets. They were Jacques Kallis & AB de Villiers, both were well set in batting as they had scored 85 & 41 runs respectively.
Now the pressure is on West Indies side, they have to hunt down the target of 301 set by RSA. Chris Gayle & Dale Richards opened the batting for WI.
These were the updates from my side. Now i am feeling sleepy, so ill post the remaining match summary in the morning. see you friends, good night :-)
