Ind vs Zim : 2nd Twenty20 match

On 13th, India played Zimbabwe in the second Twenty20 match at Harare Sports Club, Harare. India won the toss & had put Zimbabwe to bat first.

Zimbabwe opened the batting account with their openers Hamilton Masakadza & Brendan Taylor. Hamilton Masakadza did not survive for longer period as he got out in the 13th delivery of the match. Zimbabwe played moderately & their run rate was just over 6 runs per over. They were loosing wickets at the right time. Tatenda Taibu played till the end of the innings which Zimbabwe to put up a decent total. He was unbeaten scoring 45 runs from 40 deliveries which included 2 fours. Zimbabwe finished its batting innings by playing entire 20 overs & had put up a total of 140 runs loosing 5 wickets. Ashok Dinda looked impressive from Indian bowling side. His economy rate was just 3.75 runs per over & had took 2 important wickets.

As Indians are well experienced to this type of game, this total was hardly a big deal for the visitors. India lost its first wicket in the fifth over, it was Naman Ojha. After this fall, Murali Vijay & skipper Suresh Raina played well to lead Indian team to chase the target successfully. By the end of 18th over, India chased down the target of 140 runs set by the hosts. India scored 144 runs loosing 3 wickets. Suresh Raina was unbeaten scoring a magnificent 72 runs from 44 deliveries which included 6 fours & 2 sixes. Man of the match & the series was Suresh Raina for his brilliant performance throughout the series.
