Zimbabwe's winning spree continues....

Srilanka & Zimbabwe faced each other in the 6th ODI of the tri-series today at Harare Sports Club, Harare. Zimbabwe won the toss & elected to field first.

Srilanka opened its innings with the openers Upul Taranga & Tillakaratne Dilshan. They both batted maginficently to put up a partnership of 122 runs in 122 deliveries. Tillakaratne Dilshan got out by giving a straight catch to Charles Coventry. This was the turning point in the batting innings for Srilanka as they started to loose wickets. Wickets fell in regular intervals as Srilanka struggled to recover from the losses. Finally, Srilanka lost all its 10 wickets in 47.5 overs scoring only 236 runs in total. All the bowlers from Zimbabwe came back really well after the fall of Srilanka's first wicket. Brendan Taylor took 3 catches which helped Zimbabwe a lot.

Zimbabwe wanted 240 runs to win the match. They opened their batting innings with Hamilton Masakadza & Brendan Taylor. Hamilton Masakadza went back to pavilion scoring just 3 runs for his team. After this big blow, Taylor partnered with Chamu Chibhabha & put up a partnership of 148 runs. After this partnership, Taylor again put up a good partnership with Tatenda Taibu to finish the match successfully. Brendan Taylor was the highest scorer for Zimbabwe team in this match. He was unbeaten scoring 119 runs which included 9 fours & a six. In 47.5 overs, Zimbabwe scored 240 runs & won the match by 8 wickets.


Wow! what an series awesome series it has been for Zimbabwe. Till now they have played 4 matches & won 3 matches. Zimbabwe are looking very strong at the moment. In finals, it gonna be a two-sided game. We cannot predict who will win the series after watching this match. Let's wait & watch.
